  1. The ship's exterior was styled by Kay Korbing no less and has quite a bit of nice detailing when looked at closely and in the original colours.
  2. The company is seeking to change the crewing arrangements to "live-on-board" two weeks on/two weeks off. So it would be to move in line with almost every other major ferry operator around the UK but obviously a big change if crews are used to going ashore and seeing family every day. It really is nothing like the P&O situation... the Steam Packet is now controlled by the Isle of Man government and I find it highly unlikely they would do anything like what P&O did. The discussion between the union and the company is now playing out in the press which is not going to be helpful unless it is just grandstanding by the union to get the best deal.
  3. Apologies for writing in English, does anybody know this year's Salamis timetables? Also will this operation be running on Wednesday when the strike is on?
  4. Another ship likely to head to Croatia - Jadrolinija will probably buy it for €12m. I suppose this would be a nice profit for the shipowner.
  5. Here is a little tour of the Rusadir together with some historic context (in English) around her design - https://hhvferry.com/blog/?p=7669
  6. I think it is the Official Carrier of the Moomins logo that the other Silja ships have.
  7. I think these are cabins for crew. Ironically the final area of passenger cabins in Viking Line service was originally an upper car deck! If ASL wanted to do some work to increase vehicle capacity it would presumably not be too structurally difficult to reinstate that upper car deck and use what had become crew cabins for passenger use. And then try and squeeze the crew into other areas. Apologies for writing in English.
  8. Whether the ship is really suitable or not for a genuine Western Cyclades operation is indeed questionable. But it does not have so many cabins any more. Those beneath the vehicle deck were removed some years ago and in final Viking Line configuration only half a deck was made available for passenger use with two full decks of accommodation above. Here is the final VL deckplan
  9. The ship has been offered to Jadrolinija for €7.65m so will likely be heading to Croatia later this year.
  10. 1. Πρέβελης - always ready to serve even after being rejected. One of the heroes of the Aegean. 2. Sporades Star 3. Aero 1-3 4. Αντιγόνη 5. Daleela
