Due to restrictions at the port of Piraeus seajets can on have up to 6 ships at any given time . So 5 are operating various routes with one as a Spare . As long as there is no plan for the ship to operate a route the choose to berth it as Salamina (GRSAL) where they can perform maintenance tasks also . As far as i know Speedrunner Jet was supposed to be the Spare one this year . Chj1 will probably operate either Serifos-Sifnos-Milos from the beginning of June or the evening Peiraias-…-Santorini as last year . Depending how the bookings are progressing they might swap it with Speedrunner Jet for the foreseeable future (June)

She is in Salamina shipyard now, as she won’t have any trips until the 6th of June. Normally, all Champion Jets except for CJ1 should have had some time off from around the 15th of May to around the 5th of June, for CJ1 this was planned to be 23th of May to 6th of June. Since the HSC Max, soon to start trips as Eurochampion Jet, isn’t fully finished yet, Champion Jet 3 is taking over her routes until the 4th of June. She will start Koufonisia routes at the 5th of June. Also they are still working on Olympic Champion Jet. She normally would have taken over the Piraeus - Milos route from 23th of May to the 5th of June, also continuing to Santorini. Since she won’t be able to start those routes at the 23th, the Champion Jet 2 takes over the Western Cyclades route until the 22nd and the route of Olympic Champion Jet from the 23th. Why it’s not the Champion Jet 1 or the Speedrunner Jet as they were both operating the Western Cyclades before during this season, I don’t know. From the 5th of June Champion Jet 2 will start the route as done by Champion Jet 1 last season (16:00 from Piraeus to Santorini and back in the following morning). The Olympic Champion Jet should also start at the 5th, from the 6th the CJ1 will then also start trips at the Piraeus - Serifos - Sifnos - Milos route again. CJ3 will then as said start routes to Koufonisia from the 6th. Also the tender for the Thessaloniki routes should start soon, with routes starting not much after. So maybe that will bring some changes with it too, but that is to be seen later.

Billy Johnson Posted June 9 Posted June 9 I see on AIS it’s doing en extraordinary routing to sifnos and serifos is this a one off? Is there a lot of traffic?
Nikos_Chania Posted June 9 Posted June 9 Billy, today is a holiday in Greece. Many Greeks spent their 3 days off to Greek Islands, so today is return-to-base day, that's the reason you see Many extra sailings from islands to mainland. (Saronic islands also, if you see, they have late night sailings to Piraeus as well)
