She was owned by MC Catering and Shipping from Nov 2000, and sailed in 2001 between Elba & Piombino, but 'possibly' ceased in Dec 2001 when her surveys were due. She was laid up in Genova in March 2002 and was de-classed on 1 Sept 2002 due to "Non-compliance with Recommendations Under survey " see here. 'Rumour' said she was to be auctioned in March 2003, I don't know what happened, but I saw her twice therafter:- In Genova on 18 April 2003 with yellow bands on the funnel and in Bari on 9 Aug 2004 with blue bands on the funnel

She arrived on 15 April and sails this afternoon on her first cruise for CMV [ Cruise & Maritime Voyages [/ URL]]. I took some photos yesterday. She looks very good in blue, but shame she has lost some paint on the journey from Piraeus. and with 'our' DUCHESS M, the Tilbury / Gravesend Ferry: - -
