Nick the Greek Posted April 2, 2005 Author Share Posted April 2, 2005 A statement said: “The contract value is at the same level as the second vessel in this class, ordered last fall.” The earlier ship was said by Aker to be worth in the region of Euros350m-400m. According to Aker Yards: “ The buyer credit guarantee offer made by Finnvera and the interest equalisation offer made by Finnvera's subsidiary Finnish Export Credit played a role in the deal. Finnvera and FEC have made similar offers also for the two previous vessels of the Freedom class. The gross tonnage of the Freedom Class ships is 158.000, making them 6 % larger than today's largest cruise ship.
